Parow West Eisteddfod

Eisteddfod

At Parow West we encourage learners to develop and showcase their individual talents. Learners are given the opportunity to take part in the Tygerberg Eisteddfod. Learners are entered into a variety of categories including creative art, dance, performing arts, handwriting and unprepared reading.

Parow West choir

Choir

At Parow West we value the holistic development and exposure to the cultural sphere of life. It is for this reason that we are proud to have a Parow West Choir which has blossomed over the years under the passionate direction of Mrs. Pio. The choir comprises of learners from Grade 3 to Grade 7. The choir has received many accolades over the years, but to hear and see our children perform on stage is priceless.

Parow West Concert

Concert

We have choreographed and performed amazing productions over the years. We always try to encourage mass participation to allow as many learners to be part of the “Broadway” experience. The teachers under the leadership of Mrs. Erasmus and Mrs. Jooste are unbelievably creative and we are excited about future concerts.

Parow West Gecko Adventure Club

Gecko Adventure Club

The development of learners outside the classroom is just as important as their academic development. Learners in Grade 4 to Grade 7 are given the opportunity to take part in exciting adventures under the passionate and highly energetic guidance of Mr. Claassen and a group of educators. With WCED permission learners undertake various day and weekend outings for example camping and hiking excursions where they learn independence, team work and self-discipline while being one with nature. Learners are encouraged to think creatively on how we can take care of our environment.
